Two members of the Bay Area band Tower Of Power were struck and critically injured by an Amtrak train Thursday (1/12)  just before the group was scheduled to take the stage at Jack London Square in Oakland. Drummer David Garibaldi and bass player Marc Van Wageningen were in a group crossing the tracks behind the last car of a slow moving freight when a passenger train traveling in the opposite direction at about 25mph blind sided them. Both have regained consiciousness but are in critical condition at an Oakland hospital.
