Taylor Hawkins honored during Grammys

Their styles of drumming were as far apart as their ages, but equally great, and Charlie Watts had a long life and career whereas Taylor Hawkins lost who knows how many years of living and loving what he did when he tragically passed away at 50. Both will forever be considered masters at their craft, but the over-the-top, brashness of Hawkins and the fact he died only days before his group would add to it's already impressive collection of Grammy awards landed him in the spotlight and the Rolling Stones drummer among the the passing mentions during the in memoriam segment of last night's ceremony. Knowing Charlie, he would probably have preferred it that way. R.I.P. both great drummers.
