JD Souther has passed away. The close collaborator of the Eagles credited for his contributions to several of the group's biggest songs also had musical ties with Linda Ronstadt, Bob Seger, Karla Bonoff, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt and Dan Fogelberg died Tuesday (9/17) at his home in New Mexico. Souther was 78.
